About the Event
In the past decade, much has been shared on social media about the roles of vitamins in managing Parkinson’s symptoms. Many health claims associated with these vitamins are either not verified by the scientific community or their results have been inconsistent. Faye Elahi, nutritionist, was diagnosed 14 years ago with young-onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD). Based on her observations, it appears that the progression of the disease has slowed, which she attributes to a combination of proactively following a strict diet and nutrition plan in addition to other medical and exercise therapies. Faye has become an avid researcher in the field of Parkinson’s diet and through her trials & errors, she has discovered many beneficial vitamins. Faye will present the fruit of her research of Vitamins B3 (Niacin), B5 (a member of B complex), & B12 (Hydroxycobalamin) in the management of Parkinson’s symptoms.
Individuals living with Parkinson’s are generally interested in practical dietary strategies that work because they feel empowered about being in control of an important part of their disease!
